CAPO III I woke up to the sound As the missiles hit the ground And a storm erupted like you've never seen The sky was burning red From their graves did rise the dead Decomposing, ravenous and green But thereâs nothing to fear Cause the monoliths are here Towering over our heads One thousand foot machines Equipped with jets and laser beams Shield us from instant demise They open up the doors As we all clamber aboard Leaving our homes and our lives And once the ground is clear We let out a grateful cheer As the monoliths propel us into space We thought weâd never see the day When theyâd be taking us away To see the galaxy and all of the stars Though it would be wrong to say That everything is okay Itâs kinda hard to feel bad when youâre far So far away So weâre searching through the galaxy To find a place where we can be Prosperous and happy forever more There is no anxiety In our space society As long as everyone does their chores Yes because you see Weâre all part of the machine The monoliths that hold the human race We thought weâd never see the day When theyâd be taking us away To see the galaxy and all of the stars Though it would be wrong to say That everything is okay Itâs kinda hard to feel bad when youâre far So far away
