This is how I remember playing this one. I've labelled it Chords as the tab parts are small and just extras. Note that NC = No Chord (i.e. stop playing for a second or two). //// = play that many down-strokes. The two riffs are non-essential, but I think they sound good in it; they are best played by a second guitarist. Riff 1 (see chorus) OR (depends when you play it) Riff 2 (as ending) Autumn days, when the grass is jewelled And the silk inside a chestnut shell Jet planes meeting in the air to be refuelled NC All these things I love so well NC So I mustnât for-get (Riff 1) No, I mustnât for - get To say a great big thank-you! / / / / I mustnât forget. Clouds that look like familiar faces, And a winterâs moon with frosted rings. Smell of bacon, as I fasten up my laces And the song the milkman sings. Whipped-up spray that is rainbow-scattered, And a swallow curving in the sky. Shoes so comfy though theyâre worn out and theyâre battered, And the taste of apple pie. Scent of gardens when the rainâs been falling, And a minnow darting down a stream. Picked-up engine thatâs been stuttering and stalling, And a win for my home team. Riff 2
